Moving Tips for a Stress-Free Move

We have moved thousands of customers across the UK and Europe, and with every move we have gained valuable experience. This guide is designed to help you plan ahead and make your move as smooth and stress-free as possible.

Packing Tips

If you decide to pack your belongings yourself, make sure all fragile items such as glass are properly wrapped and secured. We recommend keeping boxes around a maximum of 20kg, as heavier boxes are more likely to break and are harder to carry safely. For heavier items like books, it is best to distribute the weight across multiple boxes.

A simple way to test the weight is to lift the box yourself if scales are not available. We also provide specialised packaging for TVs and monitors, but this must be requested in advance. If items are not packed safely, we may not be able to transport them.

All furniture should be emptied and properly secured before the move to ensure safe and efficient transport.

Vehicle & Transport Process

Depending on the size and requirements of your move, the appropriate vehicle will be assigned. Each vehicle has legal weight limits, so during loading the driver may monitor the weight and, if needed, visit a local weighbridge to ensure compliance.

You will be added to a WhatsApp group with the driver for live updates throughout the move. This ensures clear communication, especially in case of delays due to traffic or customs processes.

Customs & International Moving

For international removals, you will need to provide documentation such as a recent proof of address, a list of all items being moved, and a copy of your passport. Our quote form helps collect this information early to save time during the process.
